“One Window Shop” principle - is the title of the training, which was conducted by the Women's Information Center. The aim of the training was an attempt to solve the problems faced by the internally displaced and conflict-affected population through the “One Window Shop” principle.
The method was introduced to the organizations providing incidents, so-called cases, to the Women's Information Center. Except of the project team, representatives from the target regions of Shida Kartli, Kvemo Kartli, Samegrelo and Imereti were also present at the meeting.
Since 2010, Women's Information Center applies “One Window Shop” principle in order to solve problems of IDP population. Trainings are implemented in the framework of the second phase of the project “Women for Equality, Peace and Development in Georgia”. In the current year trainings are planned to be conducted in the local municipalities of Gori, Tetritskaro, Marneuli, Samtredia and Zugdidi districts. With the aim to listen to the problem of one concrete individual, “One Window Shop” principle brings all the responsible officials in one place that simplifies many issues for IDPs.
The project, “Women for Equality, Peace and Development in Georgia” (WEPD) is implemented by UN Women together with its partner organizations Women’s Information Center and Taso Foundation. The project is funded with the generous support of the Royal Government of Norway. Goal of the project is to support and strengthen capacity of the internally displaced, conflict-affected and ethnic minority women's groups.
