Free Graduate Education for IDP Students

According to the Government resolution, in 2011-2012 academic Years, within the framework of social program, master studies of 50 IDPs with the best scores will be funded by 2250 Gel. 112 500 GEL was allocated from the state budget for the program.

In this regard, the briefing was held by Koba Subeliani, the Minister of IDPs From the Occupied Territories, Accommodation and Refugees of Georgia, Tinatint Burjaliani - The First Deputy Minister of Justice and Koka Sepherteladze, The First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia.

Following Master’s programs will be funded:

·International Relations;

·International Law and Criminal Justice (International Criminal Law) specialty.

Funding of the IDPs depends on their status. As the general participants of the international courts and organizations, they will be able to successfully manage conflict and forced displacement issues and topics related to legal affairs.

Within the framework of Social Programs candidates should submit the application with the accompanying documents at the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, no later than October 31, 2011.

Funding will be allocated to those IDPs who were admitted by the Universities and were not able to obtain the State Educational Scholarship for Master degree. It is only essential for them to overpass the existing exam scoring barrier.
