Minister of IDPs, Refugees and Resettlement Koba Subeliani has hosted French Ambassador to Georgia Eric Fournier. Eric Fournier, who has already left his post, thanked the Minister and the Ministry for active and open cooperation in assistance to IDPs. He said he was sorry IDPs could not return to their homes during his work in Georgia. The Ambassador noted he would still arrive in Georgia and continue working on different issues. Eric Fournier is actively engaged in organization of Nicola Sarkozy’s visit to Georgia. Koba Subeliani thanked the Ambassador for his efficient cooperation and assistance. Subeliani emphasized France’s assistance to IDPs and in restoration of damaged infrastructure after the August war. According to the Minister, majority of IDPs have already been satisfied with long-term accommodations, which was evaluated by the Ambassador as ‘efficient’ and impressive’.
