Annual registration of refugees starts on June 25

On June 25, mandatory annual registration of foreign citizens who are granted refugee status in Georgia started in accordance with the Law of Georgia on “Refugees and humanitarian statuses” and the order № 53 of the Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Accommodation and Refugees of Georgia, Koba subeliani.

Venue and dates of the registration:

1. For “Prima facie” refugees from June 25 through 30, 2012, office of the temporary representation of the Ministry in Akhmeta municipality, village – Duisi.

2. For “prima facie” and individual refugees from July 1 through 31,2012 in Tbilisi (the Ministry of IDPs from the Occupied Territories, Accommodation and Refugees of Georgia . Address: Tamarashvili Street, 15A).

Refugees who can’t be registered during the above-mentioned period due to the excusable reasons, have to apply to the Ministry of IDPs from the Occupied Territories, Accommodation and Refugees of Georgia (Address: Tamarashvili Street, 15A) from August 1st through 31, 2012.
