Georgia’s internally displaced persons (IDP) from Abkhazia and South Ossetia oppose the candidacy of David Darakhvelidze for the IDP and resettlement minister, nominated by the coalition leader Bidzina Ivanishvili on Oct. 16.
Ivanishvili’s decision has caused discontent among the IDPs, who staged a protest in Tbilisi. They demand the candidacy be reviewed.
