With the initiative of Women’s Information Center a “One Window Shop” Principle preparatory meeting was held on June 11, at Tbilisi City Hall.
The preparatory meeting was attended by the Vice-Mayor of Tbilisi - Sevdia Ugrekhelidze, representative of the Municipal Department of Social Services and Culture - George Mamrikishvili, deputy head of Financial Management Department – Paata Gobejishvili, head of International Relations' Department - Nino Mataradze and head of Personnel of the Vice-Mayor - Lika Meghvinishvili.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the problematic cases, which was revealed in IDP compact center #2 in Tbilisi. In particular, discussion was related to the accommodation, poor living conditions, roofing, privatization of living spaces, hygiene standards and health issues. Review of the problematic cases will continue at the consultation meeting of the “One Window Shop” Principle, which will take place on June 17 and be attended by the officials from various government agencies and private institutions.
Meetings are held in the frames of the second phase of the project - "Women for Equality, Peace and Development", which is being implemented by the UN Women in partnership with the Women's Information Center and the Taso Foundation.
