A meeting, in the frames of the project aiming at resolving protection related problems of IDPs, this time was held at Tbilisi City Hall. “One Window-Shop” principle is the project with the main goal to try resolving problems of the internally displaced and conflict affected populations though the simple ways.
It was the first meeting in terms of discussion of cases with the Tbilisi Mayor's Office. There were nine cases presented to the responsible persons, which were obtained by the Women's Information Center throughout the city.
As Vice-Mayor of Tbilisi mentioned during the conversation with the Women's Information Center, there are no specific programs developed for IDPs by the City Hall. However, as Sevdia Ugrekhelidze explained, while resolution of the issues the priority will be given to IDPs.
Except of the representatives of Tbilisi City Hall, the meeting was attended by the representatives from the various ministries. Among them were representatives from Darakhvelidze’s department, who had to discuss in almost every case.
The meeting was also attended by IDPs. They themselves introduced their own problems to the representatives of the ministries.
The meeting was considered very fruitful by the representatives of the City Council. According to Mamuka Katsarava, the meeting, in terms of the coordination and exchange of information, was very important. The organizers believe that the meetings based on “One Window-Shop” principle with its active actions will contribute to the agencies.
It should be noted that the Women's Information Center applies “One Window-Shop” principle for solution of the problems since 2010. Its main goal is to bring all the responsible persons in one place and introduce them to the problems faced by IDPs and conflict affected persons. The project "Women for Equality, Peace and Development in Georgia” is implemented by the UN Women, in partnership with Women’s Information Center (WIC) and Taso Foundation.
