Women’s information center has hold a training with UN women in the framework of “women for equality, peace and development” with one window method with the providers of cases in Zugdidi. The meeting aimed to study case documentations and to monitor results, and also, to introduce with project team to interested organizations about project and one window methodology.
The planned changes of labor code has been discussed during the second part of the meeting. Participators were informed about the activities of the coalition “ Women’s political engagement”.
Project participators and the representatives of non-governmental organizations from Zugdidi have attend the meeting.
We should say, that women’s information center uses “one window” since 2010 to solve the problems of IDP and conflict affected people . This was first training in this region with one window method with the providers of cases in the framework of the second part of the project “ Women for equality, peace and development”, which has begun in 2013. The trainings are planned also in Gori, Tetrickaro, Marneuli and Samtredia municipalities.
About the project “Women for equality, peace and development in Georgia”
The project is being hold by UN women with the partnership of Women’s information Center and Taso Foundation, with the support of the government of Norway. The project aims to support IDP, conflict affected and female national minorities, civil society and the government, to strengthen their possibilities in order to protect women’s rights and gender equality in Georgia.
