Temporary State Commission for Studying the needs of villages nearby occupation needs held first meeting in Gori. The meeting between the representatives of the Government, village trustees and population was held in the Center of Democratic Engagement.
The aim of the meeting was to present action plan, in the field of which it is planned to implement different projects in 38 villages nearby occupation line. Main attention was paid to drinking and irrigation water and gafizication.
Representatives of the Ministries of Reintegration, Regional Development and Infrastructure, Energy, Internally Displaced Persons from Occupied Territories, Accommodation and Refugees answered the questions of population. The representatives of the coalition “For Women’s Political Engagement” have also attended the meeting. They have informed the representatives of the Government about women’s needs.
Ministers paid attention to the situation in cross border villages and told, that they will pay maximal attention to the needs of population of those villages.
The meeting lasted 2 hours. Next meeting of Temporary State Commission is planned on 15 October. The Government will present concrete dates and project lists, which are related to the activities in the villages near occupation line.
