On 29 October 2013, the representatives of Women’s Information Center visited the families of national minorities living in Kvemo Kartli, village Tsintskaro and were informed about their problems. The aim of the visit was to reveal particular problems of national minorities for “one window shop” principle consultation meeting, which will be held in the municipality of Marneuli in November 2013.
The village has water and gasification problems. Water is supplied only once in a week, and gasification has to be completed long time ago. It has revealed that public schools and some of houses need rehabilitation, they have also the problems related to documentation and health. After detailed study, it will be possible to discuss this problem at one window shop principle meeting.
The visit was held in the frame of the project “Women for Equality, Peace and Development”, which is implemented by UN Women with the partnership of Women’s Information Center and Taso Foundation, with the support of Norwegian Government.
