On 1 November 2013, in Marneuli, in the Center for Civil Engagement was held a training in the frame of the project “Women for Equality, Peace and Development”. Training has been attended by the representatives of non-governmental organizations working in Marneuli, community workers of villages Aghmamedlo and Sadakhlo of Marenuli, and Tsintskaro from Tetritskaro.
Women’s Information Center uses one window shop methodology since 2013 in order to solve the problems of internally displaced and conflict affected people. This is first training in Marneuli with case providers in the frame of second phase of the project “Women for Equality, Peace and Development”. Such trainings were already held in the municipalities of Gori and Samtredia.
The project “Women for Equality, Peace and Development in Georgia” is held by UN Women with Women’s Information Center and Taso Foundation by the support of the Government of Norway. The aim of the project is to support internally displaced, conflict affected and national minorities women, civil society and government and to strengthen their possibilities in order to protect women’s rights and gender equality in Georgia.
