Support 70 children to forget their daily troubles and have an extraordinary vacation.
The village of Ergneti lies on the dividing line separating it by barbed wire from the town of Tskhinvali where the heaviest fighting took place during the 2008 conflict. The village was also at the center of the hostilities. Many people left then, but the community is slowly returning to life. The children of the village remain very vulnerable however, as soldiers, checkpoints, barbed wire and deep poverty continue to be part of their lives.
Help us fund a children’s camp in the village of Ergneti, Georgia to give these children an opportunity to forget their daily troubles. The camp will gather 70 children between 7 and 15 for ten days of fun, growth and experience they will never forget. It is run by enthusiastic volunteers – doctors, teachers and journalists. Your donation will go directly to buying food, arts and crafts material and sports equipment.
For the amount that you would spend for your child’s friend’s birthday gift or just a night out with friends you can give these children a summer they will not forget and an opportunity to just have carefree fun.
As is tradition in Georgia, the guest is always sent by God, so our community would like you to remember us too with small gifts.
