Winners of Gender Equality Awards 2015 will be announced on Monday, 6 July 2015, 18:00, Rooms Hotel Tbilisi (14 M. Kostava Street, Tbilisi).
The Grand Award for Gender Equality will be handed by President of Georgia, Giorgi Margvelashvili, who will attend the event as a special guest.
The awards ceremony will be opened by Manana Kobakhidze, First Deputy Chairperson of the Parliament of Georgia and Chair of the Gender Equality Council, and Shombi Sharp, Deputy Head of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
The fourth national Gender Equality Awards is organised by the Gender Equality Council of the Parliament of Georgia with assistance from UNDP and Government of Sweden as part of the UN Joint Programme “To Enhance Gender Equality in Georgia”.
The awards ceremony will bring together representatives of the Government and Parliament of Georgia, business, civil society, diplomatic missions and international organizations.
Media partners of the event are Forbes Georgia, NetGazeti.ge and Radio “Tavisupleba”.
Winners will be announced in four nominations:
1. The Grand Award for Gender Equality
2. The Award for Gender Balance at the Executive Level
3. The Awards for the Best and Innovative Gender Policy
4. The Woman Entrepreneur Award
Gender Equality Awards is open and free of charge to Georgian and foreign companies that operate on the Georgian market for more than two years, employ more than 30 people, and have more than GEL 100,000 annual turnover. These limits do not apply to the Woman Entrepreneur Award. The nomination for Gender Balance at the Executive Level is also open for the Government agencies and local governance bodies. |
