UNFPA Contest on Best Gender Media Works

United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) within the framework of “Combating Gender-based Violence in the South Caucasus” project is pleased to announce a contest for journalists for best gender media works.
Contest guidelines and rules:
- All journalists working or interested in working on gender issues are eligible to apply;
- Contest entries will be judged in two categories: best article (both print and electronic) and best TV/radio story;
- All entries must be in Georgian or English languages and shall be published/aired from January 2010 to October 31st 2010.
- Entries shall be submitted to GBV-SC Georgia office no later than October 31st, at the following address: UNFPA, Combating Gender-based violence in the South Caucasus project, Business Centre, Office # 9, 3rd floor, Tbilisi, 0179, Georgia 

Contest entries must be accompanied by journalists’ contact information sheet (name, surname, workplace, telephone, email).
The contest winners will be identified and awarded with certificates and valuable prizes within the framework of the 16 days of activism against gender-based violence 2010.
Entries will be judged by their informational value, quality, relevance of the topic, coverage and journalistic skills. Competent jury will be assigned for the contest.
