One window meeting

On 1st of July, at the conference hall of Rustavi Municipality, one window consultation meeting was organized by the Women’s Information Center. It aimed at discussing and solving problems of internally displaced and conflict affected persons in Kvemo Kartli region, in particular, in Rustavi.

The meeting was held in the framework of the project “Women for Equality, Peace and Development in Georgia”, which is implemented by The United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM), Women’s Information Center and “Taso” Foundation. The project is financially supported by the Government of Norway. 

8 cases were discussed during the meeting; each one was represented by the internally displaced and conflict affected persons. While considering cases, representatives of each structure were finding ways to solve the problem.

Attendees of the meeting were representative of those local government structures, who were responsible for settling internally displaced and conflict affected persons’ problems. Among them were: Zaqro Darchiashvili - deputy governor, Kakha Chkhaidze – deputy head of division of Kvemo Kartli of the Ministry of Refugees and Accommodation, Tsiala Gabisonia – head of city council, Nino Basilashvili – head of the Commission of Social Issues at Rustavi City Hall, Nodar Khizanishvili – head of Rustavi Social Service Center, Nino Soselia – head of Rustavi Registration Service of National Agency of Public Register of Georgian Justice Ministry, Madona Dudashvili – social worker at social service agency,  Levan Gelashvili - social worker at social service agency.

The one window consultation meetings will be held in Kutaisi and Zugdidi in the nearest future.
