Meeting with IDPs in Rustavi

The Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Accommodation and Refugees of Georgia, Dali Khomeriki visited IDPs living in Metalurgi settlement in Rustavi.

Approximately 70 IDP families reside in Metalurgi block of flats. The Minister inspected their living conditions and inquired about their day to day problems.

Dali Khomeriki visited Greta Mikia, an IDP from Abkhazia whose son sergeant Irakli Kordzaia died near the military base Klear in Iraq after bombing in 2008. The Minister expressed her condolences.

During the visit, the Minister presented the Government's new program with the title More Benefit to People and spoke on its various aspects. Dali Khomeriki stressed that the new program should have a direct impact on well-being of each IDP family.
