Trainings for Civic Education Teachers

Category: Gender in Caucasus
2013-05-29

On May 28-29, 2013 the NGO “Women's Information Center"  in active cooperation with the Ministry of Education of Georgia will held training sessions for teachers at the Teacher’s Professional Development Center. Some 50 civic education teachers from Tbilisi public schools will participate in the training program.

The main goal of the training is to inform teachers about the international and national obligations undertaken by Georgia with respect to women's rights and gender equality, and to speak and discuss gender roles and stereotypes.

Trainings will be held within the framework of the project “Empowered Women for Public Life”, implemented by the “Women’s Information Center” with support of the U.S. Embassy in Georgia.
