GEF Small Grants Programme in Georgia opens call for project proposals

The Global Environment Facility (GEF) Small Grants Programme (SGP) in Georgia opens call for project proposals, addressing the following focal areas in accordance to the County Programme Strategy: ? biodiversity conservation ? climate change ? international waters ? land degradation ? chemicals County Programme Strategy (attached) contains detailed information about SGP niches in country. Along with the environmental benefits, funded projects should contribute to poverty reduction and livelihood improvement, empowerment and capacity development of local population, gender equality and women’s empowerment. Each organization can submit no more than two project concepts either in Georgian or English languages.

Project concepts might be sent via email

to ekatherinea@unops.org with

cc to ana.shubitidze@undp.org or

submitted in hard copy to the attention of GEF SGP Programme Associate at Str. Paliashvili 15, floor 4, no later than COB of 22 November, 2013. Late applications will not be considered.
