Women’s Information Center (WIC) announces a vacancy competition for the position of Project Coordinator. Project is aimed at monitoring of 2012-2015 Action Plan for the implementation of UN SCR 1325 and its related resolutions, promoting economic empowerment in project target regions, training of journalists in educational aspects and cooperation with Georgian Universities. Project is being implemented with the support of the US Department of State.


Main duties:


• Development and implementation of the project’s strategic plan
• Prepare, implement and control activities planned within the framework of the project
• Coordinated work with international organizations and NGOs, State institutions and political parties
• Prepare quarterly, annual and final reports and submit to donor for review
• Plan meetings, trainings and workshops
• Participate in coordination meetings
• Prepare presentations about the project and present them to the target group
• Prepare tender proposals within the framework of the project

 

Key requirements:


• Higher education (Master’s degree is desirable) in gender, social sciences, international relationships or law
• Knowledge of 2012-2015 Action Plan for the implementation of UN SCR 1325 and its related resolutions, and the mentioned resolutions themselves
• Knowledge of the international and national commitments undertaken by Georgia
• At least three years experience in peace-building, economic empowerment, or promotion of gender equality
• Knowledge of gender issues
• Strong skills of coalition projects management
• Strong command of English language (knowledge of Russian language will be an advantage)
• Ability to travel to regions of Georgia and abroad

Interested candidates must hand-delivered the listed documents in a sealed envelope to the office of Women’s Information Center, until 10th November, 2014. Incomplete documents or those submitted via email will not be reviewed. Candidates who pass to the second stage will be invited for an interview.
