“Effective technologies for raising standard of working with information and social awareness” _ this is topic of the training that was held on May 23-24 in Batumi. The training was organized by Women’s Information Center in cooperation with International Labour Organization (ILO).

At the beginning of the training participants presented their organizations and talked to an audience about their expectations. 

Coordinator of Women’s Information Center, Mrs. Elene Rusetskaya, presented website _ www.antitraf.net _ and called the participants for exchanging information by active cooperation. The website is a strong database of internet resources, experts and NGOs that work on Human-trafficking issues.

Invited trainers were Alexander Rusetski and Nino Gogoladze. They held wide discussion with the group on the following issues: categories of Victims of Trafficking, ways of getting into contact with them, making media work for this issue, things that are already done and things that will be done by governmental and non-governmental organizations to prevent trafficking in persons and to combat human trafficking. Also, many problems were named that hamper effectiveness of combating trafficking. The participants shared experiences with each other.

On the second day of the training participants were divided in three groups: social awareness of trafficking (prevention + PR), how to behave with victims of trafficking, monitoring, investigation and politics. After working together they made presentations. 

Short film about trafficking was shown at the end of the training.

By sharing information and experiences between participants there is a big hope of perspective joint activities in order to raise social awareness.
